Amber Reeves has been a part of the Grandview community for about 17 years. Both of her children attended and graduated from Grandview ISD. "I grew up just 10 miles away in the tiny town of Covington, so I've been connected to Grandview since I was a little girl. In fact, I attended kindergarten here. My family and I were thrilled to make the short move to this thriving school system."

For many years, Amber dreamed of opening her own boutique. She had the opportunity to do so several times in different cities, but it never felt quite right. "I've always believed in 'God's timing,' and when the opportunity arose to open a shop at 304 E Criner Street, right in downtown Grandview, I knew it was finally time to open SugarMomma's Boutique." In 2019, she purchased the building and began renovations immediately. She was excited to become part of the downtown commerce and to engage more deeply with the community as a local business owner.

Over the years, Amber has served on several committees at church and absolutely loves volunteering at Grandview ISD. Being a local business owner has also allowed her to sponsor local events and provide services to the immediate community. She's been married to husband, Mike, for 26 years, and they have two wonderful children. Son Ely recently graduated and has started his career in another family-owned business, while daughter Mattie manages Sugarmomma’s Boutique. "I'm beyond blessed to share this experience with her, and I'm ecstatic about the addition of our first grandchild—a girl. I’m excited about the prospect of having three generations involved at Sugarmomma’s."

And then there’s Delta Dawn, beloved store dog, who’s been with SugarMomma's since day one and is always a customer favorite. Fur babies are always welcome to shop at Sugarmomma’s! "This is truly a family business, and I’m proud to say everyone pitches in to keep the store running. I couldn't do it without them."

In her spare time, Amber enjoys attending concerts, going on beach vacations, or doing anything with her family. "And with the arrival of a granddaughter, I will be more than content spending all my time with her."
