Amber Helm and her family made the move to Grandview in the summer of 2022, leaving behind Midlothian, TX, in search of the small-town atmosphere and close-knit community that Grandview offers. They wanted their children to attend a school where they could be more than just a number, where personal connections and individualized attention are prioritized. The opportunity for their children to learn from traditional books and participate in a variety of sports was also a key factor in their decision, enriching their overall educational experience.
Professionally, Amber and her husband, Nathan, proudly continue the legacy of BlazeX Sprinkler Corporation, a family-owned business specializing in fire protection since 1994. Although BlazeX is not physically located in Grandview, its commitment to service and safety has made a significant impact on the community. The company has been involved in enhancing safety measures, such as installing fire alarms in the new Entwined Grounds Coffee House. BlazeX's services extend beyond fire sprinkler installation to include fire alarms, extinguishers, exit lights, and backflows, ensuring comprehensive protection for both businesses and residents.
Outside of her role as a managing partner of BlazeX, Amber is actively engaged in the Grandview community. She serves as the Events Coordinator for the Grandview All Sports Booster Club, organizing and supporting events that benefit the local athletic program. Additionally, she is the proud Team Mom for the Lady Zebra Varsity Volleyball Team, providing invaluable support to both the team and coaching staff.
Before moving to Grandview, Amber was a founding board member of NCL, Inc., Southern Star Chapter of Ellis County, where she played a crucial role in establishing and shaping the chapter's community service and leadership development initiatives.
Family is at the heart of Amber's life. She and Nathan, who celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in 2024, have been blessed with three wonderful children. London excels on the varsity volleyball team at GHS and was honored as the All Johnson County Utility Player of the Year. Paris shares her sister's passion for volleyball and brings her unique energy to every game. Dallas enjoys attending church at FBC and spending time on Roblox, where his creativity and imagination thrive. The family is completed by their beloved redbone coonhound, Charlie, whose playful antics bring warmth and joy to their home.
Faith plays a central role in Amber's life, and her favorite scripture is John 1:16: "Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given." This verse serves as a constant reminder of the abundant grace and blessings that God provides, guiding her in her role as a wife, mother, and boss. It inspires her to lead with compassion, grace, and love, whether nurturing her marriage, raising her children, or managing her business.
