Michael Lehnhardt and his family moved to Grandview in 2010, where he became the pastor of Chambers Creek, a church located just five minutes east of I-35 on FM 916. Michael's three sons—Michael, Matthew, and Daniel—all graduated from Grandview High School, where they were standout football players, contributing to state championship teams and earning all-state honors. His eldest son, Michael, is currently on active duty in the Air Force, while Matthew is pursuing a degree in accounting at Angelo State, and Daniel is studying engineering at Texas A&M.
Before being called to Chambers Creek, Michael served on active duty in the Air Force from 1987 to 1996. Afterward, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary, which led to his role as an associate pastor at Lima Baptist Temple in Ohio. He also planted Hill Country Bible Church in Leander, TX, before feeling God’s call to lead the congregation at Chambers Creek in 2010.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Michael is active in various ministries, serving on the Missions Team for the S.W. Metroplex Baptist Association and being part of the Pastoral Alliance in Grandview. He also volunteers with Kairos prison ministry at the Estes Unit in Venus, TX. Outside of ministry, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Judy, hiking with their two dogs, Peanut and Diesel, and playing guitar during his free time.
