Lindsay Slinkard and her husband, Cody, moved their family to Grandview in the summer of 2022, with their two sons, now in 8th and 11th grades, starting school that year. Cody, a Fort Worth Police Department officer, grew up in Grandview and graduated from Grandview High School in 1996. Together, they are thrilled to be raising their family in the close-knit community of Grandview.
Lindsay is a licensed attorney and a retired associate judge from the 231st District Court in Tarrant County, Texas. Her role required residency in Tarrant County, and she officially retired on August 1, 2022. She now works full-time as a family law mediator. Lindsay remains an active member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and continues her cherished role with National Adoption Day every November, an event that celebrates the adoption of 30-60 foster children into permanent homes.
Reflecting on her career, Lindsay considers her most meaningful work to be the 11 years she spent representing children in divorce and foster care cases. Outside of her professional life, Lindsay enjoys a good sense of humor and once ran 13 half-marathons—though, by 40, it took a toll on her knees! She and Cody share their home with three dogs: Sadie, a Goldendoodle; Nellie, a rescue mix; and Millie, their newest Aussiedoodle addition.
